Q: Do you remember when the campus carry law was put into place in 2016?
A: Well I do now because you just told me, but other than that I would not have known.
Q: Do you feel more or less safe on campus knowing concealed carry is legal, and why?
A: More, because the ones who actually have a concealed license took a class, so they can protect people against any potential threats.
Q: With Texas State being such a large campus (with about 39,000 students), how do you feel about the possibility of half of them qualifying for a CHL?
A: Fine, if they qualify. Good for them, who cares.
Q: Has your opinion changed about the campus carry law since 2016?
A: No— to each their own.

Q: Is the campus carry law in effect at your school?
A: No it is not, unfortunately.
Q: Are you in favor for or against the campus carry law? Why or why not?
A: I am in favor of it because in the event of a shooter there will be armed shooters around that can shoot him before he shoots, and potentially kills, a lot of people.
Q: Would you consider carrying a concealed handgun on campus (if you could)?
A: Yes I would if my school allowed it. I have my license to carry.
Q: Do you feel less safe without the campus carry law in effect?
A: Yes, absolutely, because the police would be slower to respond than an armed student on the scene.
